Outcome
All nine campuses went live four weeks after signature, with a runbook the client's team can follow without a developer on call.
The situation
Enquiries came in by phone, walk-in, events and three ad platforms, and someone had to type them into spreadsheets before anyone could follow up. None of them recorded where they came from, so there was no way to tell which campaigns worked.
What we did
- 01Kept enquiry and application as separate records, because what happened on a call and where a child is in admissions are different things
- 02Stored UTM, gclid and fbclid on every enquiry, so Google attribution can be read straight off the record
- 03Packaged the configuration as an app that's applied on every deploy, so the staging site can't drift out of step with live
Two more things we did
- Took out the B2B deal and organisation objects, since a child getting a seat isn't a deal with a company
- Created an enquiry form for each open day, with its web address fixed at creation, so a printed QR code keeps working
